Meet The Team at Pasadena Center for Counseling

Kenneth Allen, MSW, LCSW-C  KRAHEADPIC1

I have been privileged to work with individuals and families making changes since 1984.  One of my guiding principles is to follow the person I am working with where they want to go.  People are their own best expert- I want to help unlock that.  I am an expert in the many ways to get  folks to the place they want to go.    I have developed expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy approaches because  it seems to benefit people the most.  I am a Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner and Certified Trainer of Words that Change Minds,  the Language and Behavioral Profile.      An avid sailor, skier, traveler, and mountain biker I am stuck between mountain madness & being a sea gypsy.

Leona Tartasky, MS, MSW, LCSW-C

Each one of us brings various life experiences into the counseling room.  I am a graduate of the University of   Maryland School of Social Work, but prior to entering social work I had a career as a human resources professional in manufacturing, government and school system work settings.  My passion as a therapist for children and adults reflects my belief that collaboration with clients to discover their goals and find solutions is the focal point for any helping relationship. Being a therapist is work that I take very seriously.  So, when I’m away from work I try to enjoy myself as much as I can:  Exploring the Eastern Shore, hiking, reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends….and rooting for the Ravens.
